Tinderella Rebecca Sabatino met her Tinderfella on a hot summer’s day in Melbourne.
The pair, both aged 26, kept in touch in the following months via Skype as Rebecca was temporarily living away. “I think it really provided us no other option but to talk properly and get to know one another,” says Rebecca.
Fast forward to another very hot day, this time in Thailand, and Rob was preparing to propose. “His original plan was to propose while we were kayaking but it was so hot I kept asking if we could tip the boat and swim back (unaware that the ring was on board),” laughs the bride.
The music teacher and construction engineer married at their provincial garden wedding on January 28, 2017. A ceremony and reception at Tatra Receptions was joined by 175 guests. “Rob’s mantra for the day was ‘I will not cry’ – he was bawling 20 seconds into the music starting,” smiles Rebecca. “Rob and I had written secret promises for each other to read out – he had me promising to watch cricket while I had him promising to always pack snacks for me.”

“The girls took so many selfies, I’m sure they broke a record,” laughs Rebecca of Lysha Maree Makeup Creations‘ glam handiwork.
“Tatra Receptions was nothing short of stunning,” says the bride.

The groom and his dashing crew were dressed in something blue by Ferrari Formalwear & Bridal.

“Our photographer was hands down the best choice we made,” praises the couple of Ateia Photography.

Kerryn’s Sweet Art Cakes was entrusted with this three-tiered (semi) naked number!
In choosing Mercury DJs to entertain the crowd, Rebecca says, “Daniel really made the whole process a lot less daunting than we expected it to be.”
