A “disco pash” between Kristie Rosovick and colleague Nathan Collins was a slow warm up to their eventual blossoming romance.
The pair, who were friendly at work before running into one another at a bar, became shy after their fleeting night of passion on the D-floor. “We were both a little unsure how to act in front of each other at work after that and things never really progressed,” explains Kristie, 35, of her relationship with Nathan, 40. Several years later, Nathan reached out on Facebook. “We arranged to catch up the next day and we were inseparable from there.”
The couple married at their formal vineyard wedding on April 7, 2017 at Polperro in Red Hill, Victoria. “I wanted it to be modern, sleek and stylish, and Polperro provided the backdrop for that,” says Kristie. “Classic black for the bridesmaids, a tuxedo for the groom and black suits for the boys. My custom gown wasn’t your traditional style bridal dress, which I loved – as I really felt like me – but a more glamorous version.”
The bride praised the perfect weather for a usually chilly April in Victoria, and was impressed by her wedding vision coming to life. “We had our beautiful daughter Evie at our wedding,” beams Kristie. “She was the cutest flower girl ever and it was so special having her there.”

Nathan made sure he was looking his best for the big day, with a traditional black tux.
“The White Tree played lots of fun music and really got all of our guests up dancing. My best girlfriend’s husband hopped up and played a few sets with the band as he knows them,” smiles the bride.
The couple were married by Di Kleinert Blairgowrie. “Di was the ultimate professional and met Nathan and I at least three times before the wedding,” says Kristie.
“Nathan and I really have so much mutual respect for each other, and we have a great friendship … we laugh and joke with each other all the time,” says Kristie.
The couple opted for the traditional wedding guest book as a memento from the day.
