Hannah Rogers and Brent Thompson met at age 13 and by the time they began dating in late high school they were inseparable.
Brent, 27, proposed to high school sweetheart Hannah, 26, while on a skiing holiday in Japan.
“He was setting up the camera on the ski slope overlooking the valley for a picture when he came back and knelt down beside me and asked me to marry him,” Hannah says.
“He had the whole thing on film which he planned last minute instead of the photo.”
The Brisbane couple got to work designing an elegant wedding for May 9, 2014 at Maleny Manor in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.
The picturesque venue, which also hosted the reception for 75 guests, perfectly suited the couple’s understated style.
“When we look back on our wedding day we are both filled with so much love from all the memories we share from that day,” Hannah says.
“We both had the best day of our lives and felt so blessed to have spent it at the ever-so-beautiful Maleny Manor.”

Hannah’s two bridesmaids wore matching gowns from Gossip Gowns.

The grounds surrounding Maleny Manor provided some stunning backdrops for the couple’s photographs.
