Jared Cochrane once tried to give Emma Adams dating advice – luckily for him she didn’t listen.
The pair had been working in the same real estate office for about a year when Emma, 22, broke up with her high school boyfriend.
“Jared tried to give me some ‘love advice’,” Emma says. “He told me to ‘take time for myself’ and not to date anyone for ‘at least three months’. I think he lasted about three weeks before he asked me out to dinner!”
After two years of dating, Jared, 34, popped the question and gave Emma the garden wedding of her dreams. They married in the gardens at Jaspers, Berry on the NSW south coast on October 18, 2014 in front of 97 guests.
“Our wedding venue was everything I could have wanted and more,” Emma says of the unique venue, which also hosted the elegant reception.
“Have your wedding at the one venue if you can,” Emma advises. “It took the stress out of getting ready and then having to get to ceremony and then photos and a reception.”

Emma and her bridesmaids were treated to the bridal salon at Jaspers where they enjoyed the undivided attention of their own butler while they got ready.
One of the biggest highlights for the couple was that they were married by Emma’s grandfather, who is a celebrant. “It made what is one of the biggest moments in our life so personal and special,” the bride says.
Emma and Jared wrote their own vows and kept them a secret from each other until the big day.
Jaspers took care of the styling at the reception, which combined an elegant theme with rustic touches.
