Sparks over social media soon led to love for Carly Osborne and Tim Whitelaw.
The Melbourne couple began following each other on Twitter before finding each other on Facebook and exchanging phone numbers.
“It felt like we were ‘together’ before we had physically met and so it was very cool to finally meet in person. We moved in together after three months of knowing each other and here we are!” Carly, 32, says.
Carly and Tim, 33, headed outdoors for their colourful garden wedding in Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens on November 14, 2015, celebrated with 115 family and friends.
The reception was held at Jardin Tan, a restaurant set in the botanic gardens that offers French-influenced Vietnamese cuisine.
Carly describes the big day as fun, laid-back and not at all serious.
“I wouldn’t do anything differently – it was all awesome!” she says.

Rather than opting for traditional bridesmaids’ dresses, Carly opted for skirts and separate tops, paired with modern mules.
