Starting and ending with “champagne and smiles,” the beach wedding of beauty therapist Tamara McLucas and tyre fitter Clinton Oldfield was described as “perfect” – and not just by the newlyweds. Photographer Kylie Gustafson of Cheers Photography remembers this particular wedding fondly. “Tamara & Clinton were beautiful. They are the typical hard-working Aussie couple. Tamara was a wonderful bride, very organised and planned everything to the minute. “Over the years and many weddings later this is one I will never forget. It was not all paid for by mummy and daddy; it was hard work from a wonderful couple and it was a pleasure to capture this beautiful day for them both. “The photos say it all… they all laughed and smiled all day long. ‘The perfect wedding.’” It was Clinton’s “cool red jet ski” that first caught 24-year-old Tamara’s attention when they were introduced through mutual friends five years ago. Their love of the water – and each other – grew, and 18 months after Clinton, 27, popped the question on Bamboo Island, Thailand, their ocean-view nuptials were held on the secluded Cove Beach in Cabarita, NSW. Tamara wore a floaty Mia Solano strapless gown, her feet adorned with shell foot jewels whilst the boys were suitably casual in cuffed chino pants, open collar shirts and white Havianas. A sit-down reception at the eclectically styed Babalou Restaurant and Bar was held for the 85 guests. |
